This uproariously funny and deeply touching one-man show chronicles Bolin's life story from Indiana hippie child to mortgage-paying comic. His journey from wide-eyed hippie kid and the altruism of the "Peace and Love" generation to the decidedly UN-altruistic world of home ownership in modern America is filled with hilarious moments such as hippie cuisine, man-eating pig encounters, guitar-wielding Lutheran camp counselors and a marriage in Mexico. Unlikely amends are made at journey's end with a return trip to Indiana where it all began.

Dylan Bolin is a regular featured guest on the Dave and Carole Morning Show (96.5/WKLH) with his segment called "Out of the Box," and is a frequent performer at Milwaukee's ComedySportz. Acting credits include STOP KISS with Renaissance Theatreworks, JOE EGG with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre and LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR with Next Act Theatre.

A composite of review comments

Here's what folks have been saying about PEACE, LOVE & A THIRTY-YEAR MORTGAGE: "Masterfully performed, the story is equal parts sweet, funny, and intelligent. I would only recommend this show to those people who enjoy being entertained at every single level. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll probably learn a little something about yourself while watching." — Alan Guszkowski "What a wonderful show! Hilarious and yet surprisingly touching at times too. Dylan is truly one of Milwaukee's great talents, both as a writer and a performer!" — Steven Grisetti "Peace, Love and a 30-Year Mortgage is like when you've met a new great friend and you go out to the bar...only your new friend happens to be a masterful writer and storyteller who weaves wonderful tales full of clever turns-of-phrase; episodes both relatable and jaw-droppingly weird, and moments that in turn bust your gut or tug at your heartstrings..." — Joel Kopischke "I must preface this note by saying that I have not written a fan letter of any sort since I was 14 and poured my heart out/professed my undying love for David Cassidy c/o TigerBeat Magazine, roughly 37 years ago! My husband and I just saw your one-man show, Peace, Love and a 30-Year Mortgage. Your ability to make us laugh, cry and ponder all in the space of a few hours is unique...I left the play so impressed, and rather than just think about it, I decided to take the time to sit down and write you a real "fan letter"...twice in 37 years...not bad!" — Billie Ognenoff
