Sundays at Sunset Outdoor Concerts
A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY: SONGS TO REMEMBER

High School Students and recent grads will open their window of opportunity to sing the songs they were unable to perform because of school cancellations or the songs they want to perform while they continue to dream big. The outdoor concerts will be performed on Sunset Playhouse’s north lawn. Audiences are invited to bring lawn chairs and snacks for this one-hour production. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved indoors to the Marla Eichmann Studio Theater.
CASTING/AUDITION INFORMATION:
Sunset Playhouse School for the Arts is searching for singers who were/are enrolled in high school from September 2019 – June 2021 to perform in our Sundays at Sunset concert: A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY.
Auditions will be held virtually with potential for in-person callbacks. All singers who are interested should submit a two-minute-maximum video which should include:
- An introduction (tell us your name, age, grade, high school you attend(ed), a little about your missed or dream opportunity, and your song title).
- You singing the song you would like to perform (the song you didn’t get to sing because your high school production was cancelled or a song you dream of singing in the future). Accompaniment can be a karaoke track, guitar, or live piano.
- Record a PORTRAIT-oriented (vertical) video so that we can see you act and tell your story while singing.
- Play the accompaniment track through a speaker or an external device separate from the device on which you are recording.
- Please be sure we can hear your voice over the accompaniment.

All audition videos must be submitted between June 1 – 20, 2021. Deadline for submission is 5PM on June 20th.

REHEARSAL
Individual rehearsals will be minimal and will occur based on music director/actor availability between July 17 – 31, 2021. Tech/Dress rehearsal will be held on Saturday, August 7 from 1 – 4PM at Sunset Playhouse, 700 Wall Street, Elm Grove, WI, 53122 (all performers must be available). Performances are on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
