Embark on a journey on the high seas! You will meet mermaids, pirates, and sea creatures as you sail on this grand voyage. Students will have fun with dramatic play, story enactment, imagination journeys, theater games, singing, music, and movement.  Think of it as a little bit of acting, a little bit of singing, a little bit of dancing, and a whole lot of fun.

Center Stage: John Scieszka’s Imagination (Enrolled in 1st - 3rd Grade)

Develop skills in acting as we explore the creative world of John Scieszka’s award-winning books, such as The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, The Stinky Cheese Man, & Squids will be Squids. Students will use theater games and exercises to explore the basics of acting while learning ensemble-building skills and gaining self-confidence.  On the last day of class, students will perform a play for family and friends. 

Action! Act! (Enrolled in Grade 4th - 6th Grade)

In this acting and writing class, students will create their own original product to sell, develop ideas for their own commercials, and work with the instructor to put their work into a script.  Students will then perform their commercials live. 

Musical Theater (Enrolled in Grade 1st - 3rd & 4th - 6th)

Grade 1st – 3rd                   Tuesdays 4:30 – 5:30                          $90

Grade 4th – 6th                  Tuesdays 5:45 – 6:45                          $90

This class introduces vocal technique, movement, and acting skills through some of Broadway’s most popular musicals. Working on material from the Great White Way will build the confidence and skill of young performers.  Students will put their singing, dancing, and acting skills together to present a Broadway-worthy performance for family and friends on the last day of class.  Explore the magic of musical theater!

Jedi Force Training (Enrolled in Grade 6th - 8th Grade)

Grade 6th – 8th                 Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30                          $90

Have you ever wanted to be a Jedi? Or, have you ever watched a movie’s epic fight scene and wished you could be a part of it? Then this is the class for you! Students will learn basic unarmed stage combat techniques. Through non-contact interactions, students will use the illusion of violence to depict a battle between Jedi using the Force. By the end of the class, each student will perform a scene that includes a choreographed unarmed Jedi battle.
