A diverse, larger-than-usual cast will knock your socks off with their tribute to some of the great ladies of soul.
Meet the cast:
CYNTHIA COBB’s credits include PORGY AND BESS, GERSHWIN AND FRIENDS, AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’, SMOKEY JOE’S CAFÉ, TINTYPES, and BLUES IN THE NIGHT, all at Skylight Music Theatre, along with performances at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, Drury Lane Theatre, Marriott Theatre at Lincolnshire, Northlight Theatre, and Gateway Playhouse.
HANNAH ESCH returns to the Playhouse where she has appeared as Bea (SOMETHING ROTTEN), Lady of the Lake (SPAMALOT), Veronica Sawyer (HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL), and Cinderella (INTO THE WOODS). A regular of this series, she has also worked with Skylight Music Theatre, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, and Greendale Community Theatre.
CAMILLE HUNT’s credits include three years of performances in Black Arts MKE’s rendition of Langston Hughes’ BLACK NATIVITY. She owns her own vocal studio where she mentors students of all ages and skill levels, seeking to inspire and uplift through her artistry.
Our Rising Star, ASHLEY NASH, is a junior at Wauwatosa West High School where her credits include LION KING JR., 42ND STREET, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SEUSSICAL, CINDERELLA, and FROZEN.
As the daughter of a pastor, TASHANICOLE has been singing all her life! Making her Musical MainStage debut, she keeps busy as solo artist, background vocalist, arranger, director, teacher, and actor. TashaNicole has recently released her debut single, Who Knew, and the EP It’s Not Over.
ASHLEY RODRIGUEZ is an alumna of the College of Lake Country and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She has appeared in FIREBRINGER and EVITA at Skylight Music Theatre, various roles in the BEST OF BRINK BRIEF at Renaissance Theatreworks, and HEATHERS with Outskirts Theatre Co.
A Musical MainStage favorite, RANA ROMAN was most recently seen as Mrs. Cratchit in A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Milwaukee Repertory Theatre), Estella Velez in LAUGHS IN SPANISH (Milwaukee Chamber Theatre), and Eva Perón in EVITA (Skylight Music Theatre).
The concert will also find Kerry Bieneman at the keys, Jack Koshkin on guitar, Eric Hervey on bass, and Pat Hopkins on keys. Providing background patter will be hosts Susan Loveridge and Shawn Holmes.
