Nurse Ratched reigns over her psychiatric ward with a steely smile and an iron fist. When roguish convict Randle P. McMurphy falls into her care, she expects him to comply. Instead he challenges her authority, pushing other patients to question the status quo and entertain the idea of freedom. The result is a clash that may lead to escape for some, but at what price? Rules must be followed or drastic measures will be taken.
