This is one of Shakespeare’s funniest and most accessible comedies. The play features his most popular comic hero, Sir John Falstaff, who mistakenly believes he can seduce the wives of two prominent country gentlemen, Master Page and Master Ford. When the wives discover that each has the affection of the old knight, they plot together to expose his wanton foolishness. Master Ford, an insanely jealous man who believes his wife to be unfaithful, decides to test her loyalty by hiring another man to seduce her. Unfortunately, he hires the very same man who has designs on his wife, Sir John Falstaff. Hilarity runs wild in this Elizabethan romp!
