EROL IBRAHIMOVIĆ, currently lighting up the Sunset stage as a SOMETHING ROTTEN Bard Boy/ensemble member, now in the Sunset Spotlight.
When did you first become involved at Sunset Playhouse and what areas have you been involved with here at the Playhouse?
I first became involved with Sunset Playhouse at the end of 2021 when I was cast in the ensemble for SHE LOVES ME. Even though it was only my first show at Sunset, getting the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast and crew was truly the cherry on top of the cake for that entire year!
If you are working on a Sunset show right now, what is your role?
I’m currently dancing up a storm in Sunset’s production of SOMETHING ROTTEN as a Bard Boy, and ensemble.
If an actor, what has been your favorite role to date and what is your dream role? If a Production Team member, which show have you most enjoyed working on? What show would you like to do in the future?
My favorite role to date is a tie between Laurie in LITTLE WOMEN, and The Chairman in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD. There are a lot of roles that I’ve already played that I’d love to do again, but it’s always been a dream of mine to be the first male Elphaba in Wicked, but I would also love to play Fiyero or The Baker in Into the Woods.
What do you enjoy most about the Sunset?
I enjoy the care and hard work that the crew puts in to make sure the show is the best that it can be. Our crew is incredible!
When not at Sunset, how do you spend your time?
When not at Sunset, I MUST draw! Drawing has always been one of my biggest passions and is my favorite self care activity. I love to go back home to Chicago to visit family and friends. But I also try to keep myself busy with auditioning, dancing, and baking. And, I am currently a 1st year BFA student at UWM.
What is your favorite color/food/movie/TV show/book/musical or play?
My favorite color is blue, my favorite food is pita (a Bosnian dish that resembles a Greek spiral pie), I have way too many favorite movies, but “Mrs. Doubtfire” will always have a special place in my heart. My favorite book is The Patti LuPone Memoir Book, and my favorite musical is WICKED!
What is your favorite quote?
“Don’t let yourself get down. Don’t tell yourself that you “can’t do it”. The only person that is keeping you from doing what you want to do is yourself, and you can blame everybody else, but it’s you. Don’t give up!!!”- Lesli Margherita
Any other comments?
I’m just so grateful for Sunset giving me a place to grow and create, and for the amazing opportunities I’ve had. To the cast and crew: Break a leg, and I love you guys!
