Robin Christiansen, who is playing Milo Tindle in our current production of the psychological mystery SLEUTH which runs June 4 – 21, 2026, now in the Sunset Spotlight.
When did you first become involved at Sunset Playhouse and what areas have you been involved with here at the Playhouse?
My first Sunset production was THE NERD in 2015 where I played Rick, a role I had always wanted to do. I have also had the pleasure of appearing in the After Sunset Series a few times.
If you are working on a Sunset show right now, what is your role?
I’m playing Milo Tindle in SLEUTH.
If an actor, what has been your favorite role to date and what is your dream role? If you are a Production Team member, which show have you most enjoyed working on? What show would you like to do in the future?
My favorite role ever was as Greg in THANK YOU, EVERYTHING! – a hippie following a Phish-like band around the country. Barry Champlain in TALK RADIO was another great experience. I would love to do NOISES OFF one day, and ARCADIA.
What do you enjoy most about the Sunset?
I love the variety and volume of offerings at Sunset. In addition to the mainstage and concert series, there’s a children’s theater and even the growing After Sunset Series that offers challenging dramatic productions. There’s always something happening here.
When not at Sunset, how do you spend your time?
I’m a big fan of games large and small. Especially large, though. As in board games, you have to schedule weeks in advance. I love to get up north to the U.P. when I can, and to play the piano.
What is your favorite color/food/movie/TV show/book/musical or play?
My favorite movie is The Big Lebowski. It never fails to make my day better.
What is your favorite quote?
“All labor has dignity.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
