In the Sunset Spotlight! Susan will be playing Mrs. Wadsworth T. Harcourt in our summer musical ANYTHING GOES which opens July 14th and runs through August 7th. She is a very active Sunset volunteer, both on and off-stage.
- When did you first become involved at Sunset Playhouse and what areas have you been involved with here at the Playhouse?
I started out helping with costumes for Murder on the Nile. My first show as Props Mistress was Plaza Suite. Since then, I’ve been Props Mistress for Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure, A Christmas Carol (I also had a small onstage role) and co-props mistress on Boeing Boeing. I’ve worked as run crew for quite a few shows, as well.
- If you are working on a Sunset show right now, what is your role?
I’m playing Mrs. Harcourt in Anything Goes. She’s a formidible lady.
- If an actor, what has been your favorite role to date and what is your dream role?
Someday I’d like to play Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit.
- What do you enjoy most about the Sunset?
Working with so many different talented people in such a wide variety of ages and experiences.
- When not at Sunset, how do you spend your time?
I love my job in Technical Services at Wauwatosa Public Library.
