How did you first start volunteering at Sunset?
By being in the show “Legally Blonde” with this amazing group of people!
Do you have a funny Sunset Story?
Not a specific story, but I think Abby has caught me being distracted during rehearsals a minimum of five times… It may not be funny to her, but it’s hilarious to me!
When you’re not at Sunset, what do you like to do?
When I’m not at sunset you could find me in the gym, at church, or probably mowing someone’s lawn. I enjoy playing video games and basketball as well!
What’s your favorite part about theater?
Having a sense of teamwork with the cast, and then coming together to tell an awesome story. I feel the closest with them when we are given a hard task, such as a big number with a lot of choreography, or just a scene with a lot of moving parts to it. Watching everyone drop whatever weight they may be carrying on their shoulders and striving to get the task at hand done regardless is beautiful. It’s hard to find that amount of heart and character in people other than theatre kids, and they keep me on my toes and hold me accountable to my highest standard every day.
