How did you first start volunteering at Sunset?
My first role at Sunset was being part of the run crew for NOISES OFF in 2020. Then Covid struck, and things were put on pause. I came back in 2021 to work on run crew for WAIT UNTIL DARK. Shortly after that, I decided to audition for 4 WEDDINGS AND AN ELVIS. It was twelve years since I had been on stage, but the acting “bug” never left. I have been fortunate and grateful to have participated in numerous shows since then.
Do you have a funny Sunset Story?
I was part of the run crew for the show CLUE. The set was designed like a Jenga puzzle. Rooms sliding in and out on arrow wagons. Just before places were announced, the crew had to take our places inside the rooms and we couldn’t leave until intermission. We had so many laughs backstage because we felt we were part of the actual show.
When you’re not at Sunset, what do you like to do?
My hobbies include gardening, reading a good mystery, and spending time with family and good friends.
What’s your favorite part about theater?
The chance to meet and work with new people who share the same passion to bring a variety of shows to audiences through performance.
