How did you first start volunteering at Sunset?
I first started at Sunset a few years ago as part of the ensemble of The Little Mermaid. I am thrilled to be back and am looking forward to doing many more shows here in the future!
Do you have a funny Sunset Story?
I do not know if this is designated as a funny Sunset story or not, but I will leave it up to you. During the run of The Little Mermaid, there was never any designation of understudies for any characters/actors, but sure enough, another actress and I had to become ones on the spot for our closing weekend to fulfill Chef Louis and Pilot, respectively.
When you’re not at Sunset, what do you like to do?
I love writing and recording music when I am not at Sunset. I write and record music arrangements of various songs, turning them into jazz combo or barbershop quartet styles. It, along with theatre, is my two big creative outlets in my life. I am not able to get at it too often, thanks to “real life,” but I love doing it when I can! What’s your favorite part about theater?
My favorite part about theatre is being able to escape from the real world for a moment. Stepping into another character’s shoes, even if it is just temporarily, sparks imagination in me that I wish I had more often in my everyday life.
