How did you first start volunteering at Sunset?
I was introduced to Sunset when two of my good friends were a part of NEWSIES. I loved the atmosphere of the theater, and began auditioning to eventually get involved. I was lucky enough to start volunteering last summer when I was in the cast of JOSEPH! I have loved returning to the Sunset stage in LEGALLY BLONDE this summer with such an amazing cast and crew.
Do you have a funny Sunset Story?
During the preview performance of JOSEPH, I was dancing in a long pink skirt during “Potiphar.” All of a sudden, my skirt’s snaps failed me and my skirt fell to the ground. I had to finish the number in front of a sold-out audience with no bottoms! It was very embarrassing, but funny now when looking back at it:)
When you’re not at Sunset, what do you like to do?
Outside of Sunset, I am currently a summer day camp counselor. I am also an incoming junior at Marquette University where I study digital media, theatre arts, and marketing! I love being involved with the Marquette theater department, as well as spending time with my friends and family, walking my dog Reggie, and doing puzzles.
What’s your favorite part about theater?
I love the community of people that theater brings together. Every person that works on a production team, whether on stage or off, has such a huge role in bringing that story to life. I love being creative, and I couldn’t think of a more fitting setting for that than theater!
