How did you first start volunteering at Sunset?
I started volunteering by doing props with my husband in 1996.
Do you have a funny Sunset story?
I was doing props for a show when an actress came off stage and asked the costume person where her slacks were for the fast scene change and she was told that they were not backstage and the costume person run down to get them. I asked the actress if she would like my slacks and she said yes because the costume lady would not be back in time. So I gave her my slacks and she ran back on stage and I put on the slacks the costume lady eventually brought up.
When you’re not at Sunset, what do you like to do?
I like working with my pollinator garden plants, walking Gizmo our dog, volunteering at the Zoo, volunteering with the Elm Grove Invasive (plant) Task Force, and being with my husband, Mark.
What’s your favorite part about theater?
Working (painting) on the sets with other volunteers and KJ. Also interacting with so many great people that I see at the Sunset.
