THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT: 100 YEARS OF MOVIE MUSIC

Hooray for Hollywood!
We’ll take a brief intermission from the holiday craziness with a tribute to your all-time favorite songs from the world of film – from “Moon River” to “Jailhouse Rock!” Meet our super-talented cast:

With dozens of area credits including work with the Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Florentine Opera, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MASTERCLASS), and Skylight Music Theatre (TALES OF HOFFMAN), lovely soprano MELISSA KELLY CARDAMONE returns for her second Musical MainStage appearance.

We welcome Green Bay native JOE EHLINGER to our stage for the first time following his several decades of living and performing in Los Angeles and Atlanta. He’s had leading roles in more than 40 musicals and revues and is currently a member of the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus.

You’ve seen HANNAH ESCH on the Sunset stage in SPAMALOT, HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, and INTO THE WOODS. Other favorites: OKLAHOMA! for Skylight Music Theatre, DOC DANGER AND THE DANGER SQUAD with Milwaukee Opera Theatre, and LITTLE WOMEN at Lake Country Playhouse.

With a master’s in voice performance from Northwestern, KERRY HART BIENEMAN is in her sixth year as MD of this series. She’s also served as voice professor at Carthage College and UWM and as vocal coach and accompanist for the Milwaukee Rep, Florentine Opera, Skylight Music Theatre, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, and Opera for the Young. In May, Kerry will appear in the SideNotes Cabaret production NOBODY DOES IT BETTER, a salute to the “chick singers” of the ‘70s.

Internationally-celebrated singer-songwriter, pianist, Broadway veteran, and recording artist, JOHNNY RODGERS is fresh off his SRO SideNotes homage to Nat King Cole. We are thrilled to find another five minutes of daylight in his year-round touring schedule for his second MM appearance! Think we’re kidding? Check out JohnnyRodgers.com!

We loved Rising Star ELISABETH ADAM so much in last month’s tribute to BARRY & BETTE, that we invited her right back! This Wauwatosa West High School junior’s credits include THE LITTLE MERMAID (Ariel), INTO THE WOODS (Baker’s Wife), MAMMA MIA, and ANYTHING GOES.
